My car is going back into the shop...
Just wanted to let everyone know that on Monday my car goes back into the shop to get bocy kit re painted...
I have had my kit painted for about 4-5 months, and the color matching has finally frusterated me so bad, that Im sending it back to the shop.
heres an old pic, I'll be sure to post pics when done.

I don't think I could have lived with that bad of a color mismatch.
It sounds like you are dealing with a good body shop, but they should have redone before you took it home
I hope it turns out better this time.

dude remember that color is really hard to match and that pic really won't help you cuz u have the flash ripping the colors apart. flash and sun will always expose the truth but remember paint on a metal surface and paint on a plastic surface will never be perfect no matter how good the shop is..especially if its new paint on the bumper and oem paint on the car. it should be really close. also remeber if u need to look hard to notice the off color than its pretty good job. how many times are peopel going to walk up to you and get their nose to your bumper to see if its off? and if they do than kick them while their down there..lol good luck man are new wheels coming for summer?

Knowing that pearl white is a hard color to MATCH dont go the cheap route ...get the parts blended into the car....yeah it costs more, but since your having them do it for free...have them do it right...there really isnt any sense in having them sand down the parts just to paint them again....humidity, hot, cold, all have their adverse effects on paint. plus...they didnt do a good match the first time...why have them "give it a try" a second time...tell them to blend it.
sorry if I sound irritated...i had my paint ordeal a few months back that im still fixing up at the current moment... IMO the car loses all quality when it has a bad paint job.

i agree with them
when i had my 96 sc bumpers repainted , when i had it de-badged. the color was off. even after i had them re paint it (it was worse to begin with.). it was never the same. in some light it looked good, some it looked way off. Good luck with the paint

pearl is EXTREMELY if not damn near impossible to match, as said previously by others.
that coupled with the fact that plastic takes paint differently than metal, makes the difference even that much more noticeable.....
your best bet is to have him blend backwards to the front doors....then the match should be better...my whole entire front was repainted and you could barely tell....the match is almost on point....
but just remember...plastic takes paint differently than metal.....you will notice this with alot of new cars...
