Like so many, I am having trouble with my door actuators. I have a 98 GS400 and the driver's door lock has decided to quit. Lexus wants close to $500 to remove and replace, but I'm thinking about buying the part from Carson and trying to install it myself. Can someone walk me through, or show me how to remove the door panel? Once the door panel is off, is it a "major" job to remove and replace the actuator? Sure appreciate the help.

like i said in the other post maybe you can see if there are members around you who can help, it's not hard
but to tell you, go around the bottom of the door panel and you see couple of screws, take them off. there is another bolt right under the armrest. also pop the plastic piece right behind the door handle, there is another bolt behind. after that, just pull the bottom of the panel, there are couple of clips, they will come out. and then you need to slide the panel up and towards the back (back of the car) to get it out

Thanks for the help. With a screwdriver in one hand, and a wrench in the other I'm going to go give it a try. I'll let you know how I made out once I've finished the installation. Thanks again.
