do you have trouble going over speed bumps, etc, with your current suspension set up? ive seen cars that have been lowered pretty low... im seriously thinking of doing the l-tuned suspension but i wouldnt be so sure if im gonna be scraping so much going down my drive way or if i scrape over speed bumps. one of my future mods would be the TTE front lip so thats and added problem vs. speed bumps/ road obstacles... any help?

I have eibachs/bilsteins on 16's and I can honestly say I have trouble going over speed bumps only with a full load in the car, but other than that not really.

This is exactly why I didn't choose the coilover route (amongst other things). With coilovers on my previous car I had to spend about 3 minutes figuring out the EXACT angle to hit the bump without ripping off my lip and somehow trying to make sure the little paint that was left on the lip didn't get shredded off either....

IMO when you have to start thinking about how you are going to get up your local blocks or even how to get up your own driveway, it is time to rethink your intentions

No, but I have stock body. L-Tuned only lowers 1.25" so scraping has rarely been an issue.

Yea I scrape on speed bumps in parking lots if I go at anything faster than a crawl but other thatn that it really inst a problem. I do have coilovers and a Greddy lip. It all depends on how low you go. I have a 0 gap.

Default go slow

With or without a drop and kit, I go slow over speedbumps, rr tracks, dips, everything. I'm trying to protect my alignment and expensive tires from premature wear. Plus, low profile tires don't have enough cusion to rebound and protect the wheels from contact if you're going too fast over uneven surfases. I've always gone slow. I don't care who's honking their horn behind me and I'm not usually in a hurry.

when I had my WIN kit on I could not go over speed bumps, no matter what. I didnt help that my car was so low, but with that kit it was impossible to survive any speed bumps. So I had to avoid all parking lots with speed bumps Needless to say I no longer have the win kit installed and I am looking for a new kit

Check Sewell Lexus's ebay site, they often have the L-tuned springs and shocks listed at very reasonable prices (total for both = $388 plus shipping. If you order from Sewell's web site you get a 10% discount for ClubLexus membership, just type in promotional code CL911M during checkout. Order whichever way is cheapest. I have the L-tuned set up with 18" rims, running "fat" set-up ie. 245/40-18 tires. Ride quality did not suffer, handling much improved. Scraping occurs only with the most severe speed bumps or short steep driveways taken straight on. Also watch out for parking lot curb stops, before lowering I never scraped on those, but now I cant pull all the way into a parking space until my wheels hit the curb, just be a little more aware. The area that rubs is not visible from a standing position, is way under the lip just inboard of where the fog lights are.

i have coilover, 20s, body kits, and my car is pretty low, but i still go around everywhere in LA area. need to be careful on steep inclines, driveways, and bumps, most of the time i just go at an angle regardless, and till now i still haven't scraped anything.

I have 19s, Espelir 55mm drop, and almost no paint left under my front bumper. I bottom out over speed bumps if I dont angle or hit it too fast but the loss of paint is from going into steep driveways.
