I want to get an aftermarket exhaust, but I want it to be quiet. I know some people thinks L-Tuned is the quiestest, but I hear between 2-3k the resonation can get annoying. So... is there anything quieter? The only reason I want an exhaust is because I have the veilside rear and I just want to fill up the exhaust cut-out, I'm not too interested in the sound. Any suggestions???
What about just getting a tip? Or is that too ghetto for a GS?

just get the tips. a nice polish/chrome finish, not the big, should do the job without being cheesy. L-tune is the quietest.

I've got the Rod Millen Signature series Exhaust - I've also have the Borla CF system - BIG difference - RMM
is atleast 50-60% quieter...

Is the Borla CF quieter than the regular Borlas that most people have? Is there any noticable resonation inside the car?

Also, where can I get exhaust tips at?

Default Quite Exhaust

It has been my experience that aftermarket exhaust and quite exhaust are NOT the same thing. If you only want to change exhaust to fill out the new bumper, get someone to just change the tips.

I tried both borlas (courtesy of Sterling McCall lexus), and the CF is just a straight-thru pipe with a drain-size CF tip (looked ugly on the GS); it was loud and raspy.
I ended up with the S/S (which has a muffler), which still resonates around 2K rpm, but any exhaust louder than stock will. I like the sound of the exhaust better than the tire roar, and it's not loud at all. As for the resonance (which is not all that annoying to me), just lower a gear and you're out of it. I like the clean look under the bumper, which is not the case with the L-Tuned.

I think L-tuned is quieter than Borla S/S. If you want something quieter than L-tuned, try the stock exhausts.
