What are the highest RPMs a GS430 can spin safely?

I remember one time I drove in M mode on a straightaway...as I shifted from second to third the car actual peel.I've never been able to do it again...by the way do I burn more gas in M mode? seems like it to me.
and yes, in m mode you eat up gas a lot faster
and yes, just try to keep the car in 2nd, make a turn, and towards the end of the turn, gun the car. it's scary

it's funny though, i have never had any chirping from 3rd to 2nd before. but the roaring and the tq was just impressive

nailed the limiter again.
man, I did it again! in third this time. messing aound with my buddy's X5 and I forgot I left it in third. the thing is so quiet I didn't realize until it was bouncing off the limiter, bigtime. I freakin hate that!

Yo Chuck, Don't stress, our vehicle, as well as most has rev limiters as well as an electronicly controled tranny which will shift when it needs to. The red line is 6300rpm, and i have been there MANY of times!! Just try to remember to shift it in the proper gear, or keep it in D. Let'r bounce off that thing all day, she was made to run up there.
BTW, Oil pressure is well over 60psi at start up, it takes about 2-3 seconds to have oil "circulating", the biggest factor or spirited driving as THEY SAID, LET YOUR CAR WARM UP! Before you beat on it!

There should be no issues on hitting the rev limiter other than slowing you down when trying to um..pass someone. Where you run into trouble is if we didn't have a rev limiter and you passed the redline by about 1000 RPM. Then stuff "MAY" start to get damaged. Safety factors are engineered into the designs of many things so you don't have a sudden breaking point when you hit the max designed load.
