I have a 99 GS300 with the stock radio and six disk changer. I was playing a CD and the radio just shut-off. I turned it back on and the radio(FM/AM), and tape work except for the CD, it won't switch to CD mode. Has anyone had this problem before? If so what is the fix? I'm hoping just a fuse or something, but I think if it was a fuse the entire radio (all modes) wouldn't work.

Do I need to go buy another radio and how much would that cost? Any help would be appreciated...thanks.

Continued....When I got back in and started the car (hour later), it worked fine. Does anyone know of thi problem? Is this a sign of problems to come?

maybe some loose wires behind the headunit?
