Default considering a used GS430

I am looking at buying a used GS430 to replace my GS300. What is everyone's opinion on the 06 affecting the used prices up or down?

Well "up" should have not even been in the question. If you have not noticed we have several new members that have made recent "GS" purchases. To be honest the prices are going down fast, if you want to play it safe you can wait until March (GS 06 hits the market) to get that GS 430 or tomorrow it really does not matter. If you plan to buy out of state that would be even greater savings unless you have a GS 430 in your area for great price. A little birdie told me 2 nd Generation GS's prices are dropping like a rock... Good Luck on that GS 430 hunt....

I haven't followed the new GS all that closely ever since the first post came out last year. Hopefully, it' doesn't go sofar down that my GS300 will be worthless.

I'll look at some posts and see what people have been getting them for.

I would wait until the new GS's come out. I'm pretty confident that all the used GS's will come down in price big time.

I agree with both of you....Lexus probably sold very few GS430s in 2004 because of the anticipation.

The pro of waiting is you'll save a ton on a great car. The GS is truly a great car. If you have to have the "latest" car then you'll regret the purchase. I bought the '03 GS 430 and kinda kick myself in the behind after seeing the '06

the prices of the gs took a dump a while ago already, and after the 06 gs officially hit the road i think the prices of the 2nd gen is goig to continue to drop for a while till the end of the year

I haven't read much about the new GS but I not warming up to the shape of it. I am sure I'll like it one day but right now not enough to lay out the $$ for it. Has the GS300 taken the same fall? Or are prices going for near book value.

spoon,
o cmon man...you made the right decision to go with the 03 gs430....the new GS is not that appealing and nearly as classy as the 2nd gen....the only thing i do like about the new GS is the interior....just like the new porsche...the interior looks much better but I still like the styling of the 996. peace man
