Default Removed the cheesy airbag warning stickers from the visors!

I was able to remove those awful looking airbag warning stickers from my visors. Just get a corner of it started, and pull gently and slowly. Follow up with some automotive interior fabric/carpet cleaner. Looks much cleaner now. I hadn't noticed how much it distracted my vision, until they were gone.

No problem. Cars this nice shouldn't have warning stickers like this. Besides, this mod adds at least 2 horsepower, right?

i have to agree with gamma here, stickers have been proven to HP...thats hwy we see so many of them on "modded" cars.

was there a sticky residue left behind or did the carpet cleaner take care of it? I started peeling one off on my old RX300 and it appeared that sticky stuff was going to be left so i never removed it.

If you wanted to get that sticker HP back you could always get one of those thong airbag stickers off of ebay. Might even add 10 extra since it's a "upgrade"

If you start peeling the sticker off, and you get some sticky residue, then try peeling from a different corner. Just go really slow, and there shouldn't be more than 1 or two extremely small areas of sticky stuff left over. The interior/carpet cleaner, as well as just picking it off with a finger nail will get the rest.

Did this today on my break during school, as well as removing the rest of my woodgrain material. Now all i gotta do is stop by the auto shop and pick up interior/carpet cleaner to get off the residue. Much Much Cleaner!!!

Dumb question, but.... on my '01 430 it almost looks "set" in the visor. It doesn't look like a sticker at all and because of that I am a little apprehensive to try and remove it. Can someone please confirm that they didn't change anything '01 and up, and that it is only a sticker?

Thanks!

i don't know about the gs430, but on my 03 is300, i can see that it's very inset, but still a sticker. i didn't proceed to remove that though coz' it doesn't bother me. so you can take your chances

on my 98 gs400 though, it's so obvious that it's sticker
