I'm looking to lower my car but the problem i have is that because of my sterio in the trunk my car sit a lot lower in the back. Does anyone know if there is a spring shock combo that drops the front considerable lower than the back. I want to keep th ride as confortable as possible. Coilover is an option but I'm concerned about the ride being to stiff.

You want to lower for looks or handling? (And your stereo's THAT heavy!?)

Anyway, if it's for looks, and the rear already looks lowered then perhaps you could just replace the front springs/shocks only.

Well...my stock ride lowers in the rear when I have like 40-50 lbs in the back...stock ride has too much travel or how ever you want to call it?

I've got somewhere from 50-100lbs.+ estimated weight of stereo in the back of GS. That's two cast aluminum woofers with big magnets, a larger PPI amp, and an MDF box. With the stock springs, it seems that the GS stood lower in the back. In fact, I was quite disappointed with the initial install when I noticed this. But I then added H&R springs and Bilstein shocks. They're stiffer (much better handling), but not near as stiff as coilovers can be. With the stiffer shocks, my rear sag seems to have disappeared.

I belive TEIN springs lower .8 inches rear and 1.6 front and you can buy them either soft or medium stifness.

Then there are height adjustable coilovers available from TEIN, H&R, Apex'i, TTE, and Bilstein.

they lower an average of 0-3"

When you get your springs/shocks your spring rate will be stiffer. You probably want even notice the difference in height because of the weight. When my car was stock suspension if I had 3 people in the back I would almost be tucking tire in the back! After I got my coilovers I went down lower and it wont even drop down that much if theres a lot of people in the back. If you got coilovers you can adjust the height on them anyway

Yes, I have noticed this as well. The winter of 2000, I had stock springs and winter tires. The winter tires in back actually went into the wheel well. I was afraid it would be worse this last winter with it lowered. But it seemed the stiffer shocks much better supported the car and it didn't bottom out near as low as with the stockers. And that was with the stereo and 200-300lbs. of iron ore in the back at one time.
