I read some of the issues about the NAV problem after tinting last night. Some members have seen problem others have not. I talked to a few people at Lexus dealer and they said that the 2001 GS430 NAV sensors located in the front by the wind shield defogger. So after hearing that, I choos the Madico metallic film for the tint. When I picked the car up, the NAV system works fine. About 10 miles later, I started seeing a drift in location. No, it's about 20 miles off from my home position. Have any one found a fix for this problem? I.E external antena sensors ect... If anyone found s solution, please email me at nguyendaniel7078@aol.com

Daniel,
I don't believe Lexus relocated the GPS antenna location for the 2001 GS. As previous model years, it is still located in the back glass, right rear bottom corner. The antenna is the two small vertical leads in the glass. Y2KGS, one of our members, posted a pic once with his tint cutout around the antenna.
Also, since you're in the Bay Area, I'll add you to our NorCal roster if that's OK with you. I believe I have all your info.
BTW, welcome to ClubLexus.

If you have the metallic tint then you will have a problem.
If you have the reg. tint then no you won't have the problem.
