also... i am workin on different hood struts rtight now.. i wont have it done for the meet but prolly in a month i will have it worked out ... we are testing different struts right now.. the stock ones are hella powerful so if i find one ill keep you updated... BTW i got the veilside not the CF but im assuming the weight is about the same since the VEILSIDE is really light
So did you need different struts for the Veilside hood too? If not, what do you guys with CF or VS hoods do for struts? Just prop 'em up?

No struts for the VS hood either, just a prop. You can probably do some DIY but I don't know if anyone has done the research into what size yet.

What about this one Hameed?? I just noticed it and was unsure if it's what you're looking for. It's on the left coast tho-shipping could be tough-

I saw on a japanese website before and the guy with the cf hood also had a warping problem because of the hood struts. What he did was install a longer metal plate that connects the strut to the hood. This way the "push" force from the strut would be dispersed on a much wider area (due to the long size of the metal). It solved his warping problem.

yeah i know panda has....i think only black GS would blend well with the cf hood....on any other color....no offense to those who own cf hoods....but imo i think its a bit ricey...well I think it you had really dark tint....black painted headlights, and gunmetal or black wheels...it would match alrite...

If I got a CF hood, I would probably end up painting it. It's the weight savings I am after more than the CF look. However I wonder if it is possible to paint it in such a manner that some of the grain of the CF is visible through the paint?

How about an adjustable air strut/shock with similar design as one of these bike air shocks? Or maybe you could adapt two of these. the air pressure is adjustable via a schrader valve
