Hey Ivan
Of course I'm still around - the lease runs till March of 06!

Plus I just know that as my luck will have it, the 06 GS will lease out cheap again and I will be back here another three years (1Sick - aka Mike, just got ill).

I am not sure if the procedure would work for GS but has worked other cars. Make sure you have colant available to add.

1. With Engine COLD take the radiator cap off (not the side reservoir, so make sure the engine is cold). Add coolant if required.
2. Start engine.
3. Let the car heat up ... till the cooling fan kicks in. (Thermostat will be open).
4. Turn the heater on. 80 or higher.

During steps 3 & 4 add coolant to the radiator.

5. Let the electrical cooling fan cycle at leat once during whih you dont have to add the coolant.
6. Tighten the radiator cap.

You are done.

Caution: Do NOT open the radiator cap when the engine is warm.
Add the coolant slowly and NEVER add cold coolant to the radiator when the water pump is NOT running.

Default What an awsome thread!!!

What an awesome thread!!! I've heard the same thing in my '99 GS since I got it at 68,000 miles. I usually only hear it when the A/C is on. It sounds like water running through tubes behind my A/C vents (above the radio). I usually hear it when I just begin moving (from a stop). My dealer didn't know what it was, but said it wasn't a big deal. However, now I know what that dang thing is.... Thanks!!!!!!

That sound will come from the sunroof and will only occur when it is raining. Closing the sunroof will make it go away (to test if that is it).

I don't think that it. I can hear the same noise reving up my engine while parked. It almost sounds like something is lose in the air intake manifold or maybe it is the coolant. If anyone knows anything about this please post. This noise is quiet annoying and is very unlexus like. Some of my passengers have noticed it and I believe this should not be in a Lexus. Thanks to everyone participating.

Yep, I've got it too. I've heard that it is air in the coolant lines trapped around the heater core. I can believe this as the sound comes from the dash when you first accelerate.

TLW - looking forward to your test results! If this doesn't work, I'm gonna try having the coolant system "bled" at my next alignment trip to the Lexus dealership.

On a more rare and weird instance, my glove box was loose when I was poking around in there. The "gurgling" noise came on when accelerating from a stop. The glove compt. was tightened and no more "gurgle" for me
