Hi all,

Is the RMM intake for the gs300 suppose to come with
a heat shield around the intake?

The 1st generation doesn't. Mine doesn't. I think 2nd gen should.

I have the first generation RMM intake too. I kept the plastic ram air piece on.

My question is:

After the first few months of usage, the intake gets dirty only in one spot. Are you also having this problem???

What are you doing to prevent this?

What kind of filter are you using? Do you have the K&N that the RMM kit comes with? Because I'm using a Blitz SUSpower filter and it's not the same process for cleaning. I just need to take it out, rinse, dry, and reinstall. It'll be more complicated for K&N because you gotta oil it and do all sorta things.

Mine gets dirty everywhere, but then again I can take it out and clean it anytime I wish.

You can try and put a silk stalking over the filter Hey it really works!
