Anyone ever use the stock location to the left of the battery to run a power line back to the trunk? Where does that lead, cause I cant seem to get at the wire im running through it. Thanks!

Themi,

Yes, that's where I've run my 1/0 gauge power wire. Attached is a few pics of it. Unfortunately I don't have a very good pic of where it is actually coming out of under the dash - which is right above the right fuse panel towards the front of the car. To get to that location under the right-side of the dash, you'll have to remove the following:
1) the plastic scrub guard between the carpet and the bottom door-sill
2) remove the right-side under-dash cover
3) remove the carpet to get to the location under the dash.
Be very carefull when running your power wire, since there are a lot of wires bundled in that stock grommet. It really helps to get a second person to help fish it out for you. After running the wire, you'll need a grommet, unless you use the stock one. It all depends on your power wire size. Though not in the pic, I had to use another one.

Hope this helps you out. Let me know if you need more information.

What did it take to remove the bottom piece of the dash? Are there any hidden screws? I think I noticed one over by the fuse box, but I havent taken a real good look to see if there are any others. Anything I should look out for so I dont break? Thanks a lot!

Well, its actually pretty straight forward since there are no screws. The bottom piece of the dash (aka the No.2 Under Cover as the service manual calls it) is held on via 3 clips and 2 tabs. The 3 clips are along the front edge of the cover, where it meets the dash. The 2 tabs are along the back corners of the cover.

Removal is as follows:
1) get a flat-tipped screwdriver and wrap it with tape as to not scuff the dash
2) inserting the screwdriver between the cover's right-front edge and the dash, pry down to release clip #1
3) do the same between the middle-front edge of the cover and the dash, to release clip #2
4) then again between the left-front edge of the cover and the dash to release clip #3
5) disconnect the underdash lightbulb and wiring by twisting it counterclock wise (if I remember correctly)
6) pull the cover towards you to release the two tabs from the oval slots under the dash (you can see part of the right slot in the previous posted picture of the fuse box)

Installation is the reverse.

Let me know if you need anymore information.
