Anyone know what is involved to get the new mirror w/built-in compass ? I assume it's not just a simple switch out, some wiring involved ? Also, what would be the price ? Is this something Steve from Carson could get ? Thanks.

Yes I am bringing this up from the dead...but did anyone have an answer to LexusPride's question. I am hoping to do this to my '99 GS.

I'm interested also. I want to do the same to my '00 RX.
I had asked the Lexus dealer about a year ago and they didn't have a straight answer except for the $600 it would cost for the mirror
Maybe someone working at the dealer can check to see if the wiring harnesses are the same.

yeah Lexrx,
I bought this off of my friend about 2 months ago when he was parting with his GS to get a MB CLK...I had sold the other parts in the Classified section, but kept this piece for my self. Now I've been debating on selling it b/c I need some money for some books for college...I never thought books would sky rocket so high when I went back to continue my degree!!!!!! But anyway Yeah...it's in basically new condition....I just never got around to putting it in.

dagr8tsthustla, books, tell me about it. I spent over $600 this semester for 6 classes. Many of them were used books too! I take all my books from the previous year and make a nice color flyer to put up around campus...works pretty well.
Allows me to make some money back for books - which I give directly to my parents, they deserve the money - and other students are tickeled to get such a great deal on the books they need.
