Default low idle problem -GS430-(cure?)

I have searched, and I know there are quite a few threads on this, and but I was wondering if anyone had new updated info on this.

Car is 01 GS430 w/25400 miles. I am running out of warranty in a few months and was wondering if it was worth trying to let them mess with it or not.
Just like others, when car is warmed up, in gear, with no climate control or lights on, the car idles around 550 rpm. With lights or climate control on, it idles 800-900. It has never stalled or shook, but it makes a kinda deep bass idle sound when it idles around 550rpm.

Is there anything the dealer can/will do? Has anyone successfully cured this yet?

i tried ding the same on my sc430 and gs400. the sc430 is still perfectly ok, the idling is about what you stated, but no problem. but on the gs400 it does get a bit rough if i do that.

in short i just keep my ac on all the time

If you don't want to run the A/C 24/7, you could leave the "parking lights" on all the time......just make sure you don't forget to shut it off. It'll won't be fun if you drain your battery.

I don't know if I have that problem. Sometimes, I feel like I do, but other times, I don't feel it (even though the RPM is low).

homeboy.....apparently you never left your lights on and then walked away.....our cars truly have AUTO lights...even if you leave them in the ON position, they eventually shut off.

Nice! I've never left my lights on in the GS. I make it a point not to do that. I've done it in the past with other cars and for my headaches & troubles, I make DAMN sure I will never do it again. It's just a habit of mine to check my lights before I take the keys out of the cars now.

Nope. I'm old school. I turn them ON and OFF myself. I've never even used auto yet. And I don't use cruise control either.

Not because, I'm against, cruise control, but because I'm afraid I may doze off on long trips.
