Default Cutting the engine cover...(how can I)

I ordered the TRD Strut Bar and I know it won't fit on my GS430 with the engine cover. I saw a thread where a member cut the engine cover almost in half so the bar would fit and he still had some type of cover on the engine. I did a search but came up with nothing. What should I use to cut the engine cover and have it come out clean and smooth?

Presto is the member who had it done. Here is how he did it:
I had Bell Lexus in Phoenix install the Strut tower brace with the cover off . Then...I had a cabinet maker cut the cover with one of his table saws. We measured it carefully, and it was the exact size. He said the plastic was a little brittle and sometimes splintered. He sanded it down and even cleaned the cover.

i think cutting the cover should be too hard, just cut it a bit above where you need and then sand down to get it smooth

Thanks. I don't know any cabinet makers so I guess I'll just leave it of.

There's got to be a different way for you to get this done. Try your local hardware store Lowes or Home Depot should be able to help you I think

maybe a dremel or even a hacksaw? also, sometimes with plastic, if you score it with a razor and then bend the plastic along the score it will break clean along the razor line.

I think I'm going to look for an extra cover to practice on.

That look's like a C-ONE MOTORSPORTS and those aren't cheap like $500
