Dealer left a message for me saying they were waiting on the "new" light assembly to arrive so the car wasn't ready to pick up. This is under the original warranty though, but they still replace them if they're bad. Sounds like just the bad side which is fine with me. So far I'm pretty impressed with the level of service at this dealership, Lexus of Wayzata. I also appreciated that the loaner cars they give are in the same ballpark, a new RX330 in place of my GS430. With my new Audi A6Q I had to drive dumpy rental cars from Enterprise, Saturns and such, when in for warranty work. I suppose they have to be repaired so often they had to do it that way : ).

Try driving one around an exit ramp at 75 MPH and do the same thing with an ES or an RX. It's a big letdown and you can't wait to get your own unit back. I know, I owned an IS for a couple years and that is by far the most fun car Lexus makes and I've driven all of them. I'd have gotten another if it wasn't so impractical for my lifestyle.

i know what you mean by the drving, but then if you talk about values the is300 is on the "cheaper" side
and just imagine me dropping off my heavily modded gs4 and get a rx loaner. got on the freeway on ramp and i am scared to death already

i had my headlights replaced and my car was cpo warranty; but it was tricky:
they told me that it was a lot easier to take care of it considering that the car was still also under the factory warranty at the time. if you have a 430 then i assume there's a good chance that yours is still under factory warranty.
be cool with your service guy/girl because they have discretion many times. i'm sure i've gotten better service and no charge fixes on account of my not being the same old stuck-up overly-demanding yuppie nouveau riche lex customer that they usually deal with. also, a lot of this depends on your dealership.
other stuff i've heard is that some folks called the nat'l number for lex cust. service and got some results that way...

Update
Took my car to dealership today...Lexus will replace under warranty if there is "standing water" in the light versus fog. So I am getting mine replaced under warranty.
According to service department, HID lights have a vent to let the heat out so Lexus considers some moisture normal.
As usual, very impressed with Lexus service.
