No, the fastest tested 0-60 times by the mags for the pre-05 G35c 6MT is 5.5 sec., so those that you ran with may be autos or their drivers aren't skilled enough.

The hp of 05 G35c 6MT goes up from 280 to 298 hp but peak torque reduces from 270 to 260.

Thanks for the feedback.

For those of you who are getting tired of your Lexus, do what I did! It will be like buying your Lexus all over again. Kidding!! Kidding!!
I know exactly how you feel. I went to an Infiniti dealership with checkbook in hand ready to make a deal. After 2 hours of driving, touching, sitting in, and looking at the G35 I decided it was not as good of of car as what I have. As I said on the G35 forum, I still plan to get one.....because I like luxury coupes and there are no others I like in my price range. When that happens, I don't know. It's no longer a priority.
I, too put a post of my car for sale. How stupid. Never again.

ahhh interesting... i guess i have to be a bit more cautious when pulling up to a G35 coupe... the driver may be a bit more skilled with the stick the next time around... gotta love the coupe though.. two of my friends got them and i really like them... but the GS does it for me...

Haha, you shouldn't have to worry too much, 0-60 times even by the pros of the mags. ranges from 5.5 to 6.1 even for the 6MT G35, it's not as simple as just flooring it like for an auto

The G35 coupe and the CLK430 IMO are the best looking coupes.

Agree on the CLK 430, not the G35C anymore. The 2nd for me is the CL55 AMG. IMO, Mercedes designs the slickest coupes....

Enjoy!!

glad I found this post... I sold my GS4 a few months ago and now missing it to death though I was debating on a G35 coupe with a 6MT to for the kick but after much thoughts I was leaning towards another GS4 but may have to settle for a GS3 depending on which I find with a better deal. But after reading this thread I've got my mind set on another GS.

Read the thread at G35driver. They have some really hostile newbies there That's why I really like CL. More friendly crowd here.

SL is a convertible

I like the previous generation CLK430 a lot (but not more than the G35c) & I would have bought one if not for the horror stories I've read it being one of the least reliable cars on the road.
I don't think the current CLK500 looks attractive except the front end.

I'm am very disapointed with the new CLK500. They don't have that big body sport/luxury look. IMO, they resemble a smaller MB, maybe a a C series.
