Default OK Spill the beans - what are your summer mods?

I thought I would start another thread similar to what Dave started last year https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=140783

What are your planned mods for this summer? Come on, let's hear em!

I knew I wouldn't be able to sneak past you!

1. Custom exhaust pipe modification - double X configuration - look at this pic

This is on a Licoln Continental and the same mod on a GS would look slightly different, but you get the idea. I will not be changing my current L-tuned mufflers. This is just for the pipes.

It will serve two purposes:
- it will get rid of the drone with my current exhaust setup
- the sound will be more deeper and will be more like a Ferrari's exhaust at WOT.

2. S-Class blinker mod in the mirrors

3. Audio system upgrade - this is still up in the air as I need to save up the $$ for the install. Bought practically all the hardware, just need to find a very good installer and tuner that is affordable.

1. Additional Security System (done)
2. L-Tuned springs and Shocks (have item)
3. STB's front and back (have item)
4. Mount headrest monitors (looking for a good monitor bracket/mount)
5. Replace my stolen fogs (not sure what to do-I might go after market)
6. Clear bumper lights (ordered item)
7. TTE Lip (not really sure about this-but if I have some extra cash left after my Bora Bora trip I will do this).

very interesting, hameed. would the double cross pipe reduce the power?

anyway, for me, to be honest, i don't have ANY plans at all some of the wish list and possibility list:

gs400
1) new wheels
2) new body kits

sc430
1) wheels
2) kits

is300
1) sell the car

Hameed,

If you do something like that with your exhaust, we've got to talk you into doing a baseline dyno and then an 'after' dyno so we really know about any HP increases in addition to the sound improvements you mention.

For me:

1) Veilside GS AeroHood -frp. Already painted, just need to go get it put on
2) Veilside Grill or put back on OEM Grill painted black to match car with black pearl L (haven't decided which, have both ready to go). Please do not PM me on L-tuned grill for sale, already spoken for
3) Headrest modifications for car shows if I can find a set of extra tan/ivory GS headrests
4) Underhood cleanup for car shows... possibly some discrete paint or braided hoses
5) Custom grounding kit
6) Considering some changes to my aero kit setup to better expose the intercooler.

Not sure. It will probably have a similar effect that the L-tuned exhaust had on the car. I am not too concerned about that as it will be very negligible anyway. It's like splitting hairs.

Just as I mentioned before, my goals for this mod are to eliminate the drone and tune the sound more to my liking.

Excellent idea Dave. Roughly how much does a dyno cost?
