Default Comparison of 98-00 HIDs to 01+ HIDs

You guys are going to think I'm nuts, but I think I definitely notice a difference between the light dispersion on 98-00 OEM HIDs versus 01+ HIDs. On the 01+ HIDs, the lights seem to cut off half way down -- in other words, it seems like it's only the top half of the assembly that's throwing off light (or really reflecting light). On the 98-00, it seems like the light emitted is more circular and fills the entire lense. Does this make sense? Am I just imagining it?

ok here's the deal. on ALL reflective type hid, if you look from straight, ONLY the top half of the headlights will be on. this is ALWAYS the case. on the gs, the is, acura tl, etc...

that's coz' of the reflective property, you only want the top half to get light, so light get reflected back to the gnd. the bottom half get light, it will be reflected to the sky -- bad idea

that's the problem with hid kits, if you look from the front, the whole housing is lighted up. so you get a lot of light going up, which is not good

in terms of hid headlights on the gs, if you talk about the reflective properties, the setup, etc... they are all the same from 98 to 05. only different is the color of part of the chrome. there are clear chrome, dark chrome, and green chrome. there is also black chrome and titanium i believe, but super expensive
