Default Removing Dash wood trim kit

Well I went to get my car in the A.T.L everything is sweet I got in back in my garage now. Dirty as HELL 2077 Miles got back here in about 23hours. Anyways the kit has an Ugly sticker ebay wood trim thing some if it has even cracked in the narrow area's. Any tips on taking that crap off? Heatgun? What do you get the blue off with let me know.

I would use a hairdryer a heat gun is to hot for the stuff your doing and then follow it up with some 3M adhesive remover (citrus base) and you should be all set just remember to take your time

just keep in mind, if anything you want to apply pressure on the wood kit, scratch it, but NOT the dash. if any scratches appear on the dash you are stuck

Keep us updated on how the removal process goes, and if the dash material under comes out without damage. I may want to remove the same stuff applied by the previous owner.

for the record i know lxogood did that to his car before already. he told me it was one hell of a process and he does NOT want to do it again. but everything came out very nicely and there's not one scratch at all

I did it on mine too... What a pain in the azz. It takes a long time. Just be patient with it. Any scratches and you are screwed. Best way like the others said is a hair dryer and slowly pulling away from teh surface. It will leave residue so heat that up too and slowly rub it off. It takes a while. I had to do a few pieces a day because of teh blisters I would get on my fingers from rubbing the adhesive off.

That's what this is for 3M adhesive remover (citrus base) and you'll be all set no blisters.

I'll bet the fishing line trick for sawing emblems off may work on those too.
svt5150 is right-there is no substitute for some good old thumb power. when I tryed goof off on my emblems it only seemed to smear the adhesive around. with your thumb you just rub it into ***** and pull, peel it off. and yes, I had a decent blister too.
