Congrats on the new car. Hopefully everything is just fine with her from here on and if not there are quite a few parts resources here on CL (aliga, JPI, Carson Toyota, etc)

I def. see your point with buying eBay vehicles and how it puts one like myself behind the 8-ball a tad. I still think (hope) the facts on this ride sway in my favor despite lack of Dealer history.
The car is a 400 and not a 300, has 44K miles, the HID lights, Winter pkg, spoiler, roof, Nakamichi sound, and heated seats. As you know these cars are hard to find with this low of miles and I guess I could be overly-hopeful the Toyota/Lexus name helps a bit if it was abused, but the interior states this one is just too clean to demonstrate outright abuse honestly. Wheel scrapage to me, comes from semi-clueless older people who don't learn from repeated mistakes, not ego-protective punks that dogg-out cars and trash the rims they are using to support a status-ego trip. Just a thought...
It's just too bad that Dealers in the DC metro area around here don't sell these cars re-certified for reasonable prices, that would have been the way to go. I'm not sure where you live, but in this area it's really hard to find a great deal on cars at Dealers - no matter what you're looking for, much less a decent Lexus dealer that's worth a crud on the service end.
And of course always comes the patience game which can always be scrutinized when you buy anything
