How much work did that involve Glen? ( I am referring to the HU faceplate install in the homelink location and then soldering the ribbon wires to it and running those down to the HU itself)? What are ribbon wires anyway?

What kind of mount did you have to fabricate for the HU faceplate to fit in that location?
Don't wanna hijack Lexis11's thread. I'll e-mail ya my response.

Just contributing that there are other installs out there utilizing the relocated A/C. Hope this opens up other ideas and stirs up those creative minds amoung us who are looking to explore other mod opportunities. I can see other uses for our valuable center console real estate, such as boost/EGT gauges, EDFC, Radar display, Tire pressure sensor monitors, etc.

I tell you man....It's so damn hard to be original these days....whatever I am thinking of, it's probably been thought off a million times before by you freaks....

Here's what I have brewing.....(RMM is so right on the money with the relocation of the A/C thingy)

There you go man. I knew there would be more installs coming "literally" out of the woodwork.

Jon, you never tire. Keep us posted on your progress. It's looking pretty serious so far.

PS - Hey flip that photo over to the reverse side, so that the rest of us can comprehend what we're looking at !

Hahaha, you silly LHD Americans.... We are now "carving" air vents below the 3 holes for the gauges. Then we are rerouting the AC pipes behind it to fit right over the new air vents so I can still get central air going. It gets very hot here in Jakarta and the car will never be cool enough with just side air vents.

By the way, my audio is being taken apart again for painting. Should hopefully be ready in a week or so....in the meantime, we are continuing with our LED project, and integrating the airrunner control into the center arm rest.....so much work to do, so little time!

Sorry for jackin' your thread, Jeff. I swear this is the last thing I am going to say about this.

Thumbs up

Well, I don't know if this is going to get out of hand here, but I want to share these pictures because people were afraid of losing the homelink. I have a premier dsp eq in the homelink location with the homelink tuck behind it. Not as comlex as rmm but similar . Take a look:

Sorry, pictures are pretty humongous

It really sucks that some of the "old" posts have lost their photo link due to recent sw upgrades to the site. What a real thread killer.

Well here was my set up.

Maybe Lexis11 will chime in and re-post his photos.

For any Q's on my install, please post comments on my original thread : https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...=flush+monitor
