good news for me (and other GS owners!!)
i got the boosted GS300 that I bought on ebay fixed!!
I bought it with a jacked auto tranny upgrade. i had a boosted is300 so I know the issues that this tranny can present when not right!
according to previous posts, entrap (the previous owner) fried the forward clutch pack and hadd it rebuilt, but still with the stock sprag. so when i bought it, i budgetted to replace the clutch pack again and this time put race sprag (a Peter Farrelll Supercars sourced part).
I had to wait for PF Supercars to open their new shop in Frederick, MD... and my car was about 1st in line!! Ray, PFS' chief mechanic rebuilt my tranny.
I won the record for the most f'ed up tranny Ray had ever taken apart! (I'm so proud!). there was no clutch material left on any gear. the tranny fluid was jet black with particles floating in it. God what a mess. It was Ray's opinion that the tranny was rebuilt and reassembled wrong!! He found parts out of order - it's amazing that thing went in the forward direction!
Obviously he fixed it and the tranny is the same sweet-fast shifting power handling beast I'd had in my IS300.
I had people from this forum ask me prvately if PF Supercars would be interested in developing solutions for the GS. I noticed Ray is showing an interest in bringing GS's into their shop fer all sorts of upgrades. I always thought of PFS as an RX-7 and then IS300 shop, but it looks like they plan to branch out some more. This is good news for people that attempt upgrades like what was done to my 600rwtq GS300!!!
Now I just need to get that old Haltek out of there and switch over to the TEC3 that I know and love....
I gotta take some pics of my Gold Turbo GS when it stops raining - I also put some 18" SSR GT3s on there. Too bad the Kuhmos break traction at 83 shifting into 4th gear!
(and i can tell you what a lane change at 140mph feels like while street racing a 3000GT)

I never owned a body kit on any car I've ever owned, I will need to really shop around. Probably be a year - I have another project car that i'm working on too - so $$ is an issue .

BUT in defense of the 2JZ - these are not difficult number to reach!! My Turbo IS300 was bought from PEter Farrell and delivered 610RWHP/623 RWTQ - an 11second car.
This Turbo GS has a funny combo of compressor and turbo that allows her to reach full boost at low rpms - feels more like a torquey V8 built big block. This is probably a better setup for autocrossers!
