Can anyone tell me if there is a real difference between these 2 colors? I saw two white GS4x0's at the dealership the other day, one a 98 the other an 03, and I couldn't detect a difference between the colors. Thanks.

are u sure u couldnt tell? i've parked right next to a DPW and i could tell that my white was a lot whiter...i also believe the clearcoat on the crystal white has more metalic sparkles in it.

I think the difference is:

Crystal: more of a bright white

DPW: has more of a pearl essence when light hits it a different angles-

there is definately a difference. the DPW has a pearl to it almost like cream colored where as the CW is bright white..

Thanks, guys. Now that I think about it, I definitely noticed a more metallic aspect to the 03 crystal white. When did Lexus stop using DWP? I guess a better question would be when did crystal white kick in? 00 or 01?

it seems like after 00 and 01, more and more colors like to have different kind of shiny pearl added to them
