Hey people.

I got a Air/Fuel ratio monitoring meter installed today, but I think that shop connected the air sensor wire to the wrong place. The readings are jumping all over the place. (I think they connected it to the intake) Where am I suppose to connect it to?

Exclamation Underneath!

Globe - The O2 sensors are in each exhaust pipe where they come down beside the tranny. Not alot of slack in the wiring so it's possible to damage things by overtwisting them - I almost did when I installed the T/C.

Thanks alot.

So where am I suppose to run the wire to? Split it and connect them to each of the 2 exhaust pipes? Or 1 is fine?

Question Good Question!

Might need to ask the manufacturer of the A/F meter. If U hook it into just one 02 sensor, that measures only that particular bank of cylinders & leaves the other bank unmonitored. If U split the meter's wiring, I'm not sure that it would take the averages of the 2 sensors. Maybe the manufacturer can tell ya what they recommend.

Gene:

Thanks for the help you gave me. Now the wire is hooked up to the o2 sensor near the header, and it's working properly. (All it needs is to be hooked up to an o2 sensor anywhere after the combustion process, so exhaust or header or cat is all fine.)

thanks again!
