Sorry to hear about the accident, looks like you got the short end of the deal. You might try claiming it through your insurance company and having them suborgate it out if they find the other guy at fault. I wonder about old ladies at gas stations and Texas cops, don't get me started. Anyway, good luck and if you're in Houston let me know and I'll send you to a shop that will work with you. Just got mine fixed.

it really sux when you have a bad witness.. just keep your story straight saying that you were in the same lane all the time, that should do it. and where did he hit your car exactly?

Sorry to hear about your accident, but glad you are ok. First I would call the police station headquarters to see if you can file a report. If you can then file one immediately. Just because the cop didnt take a report doesnt mean you cant file one. Check it out and see. Then call your ins company and tell them the whole story. If you got the other guys INS info call his company and tell them the story.
Also I dont know if I missed it but did you exchange INS info with the truck that hit you? I hope you wrote down his plate and name and that sort of info on him. Did you notice if he got the # of the witness? If the officer didnt take her story then I dont know how much she will have to do with the case.

I have seen two cars in the last few weeks end up in the median on 360. There are a lot of bad drivers in Austin, especially all of the soccer moms on their cell phones. Where did your accident happen? The only gas station that I know of on 360 is Rudy's Barbeque.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, but looks like there is a lesson here for all of us - if a cop asks if you are hurt, say yes! Especially if it's not your fault, you want to be protected from anything related to the accident that may come up in the future.

I would contact ur insurance company ASAP and tell them what happened....also make it a point u don't want to pursue this with your own insurance....and that ur agent should contact his/her insurance company to work out when u expect a check from them to fix ur ride.

I talked to my ins. but did not tell them my name. Even if you start a claim and they dont pay out it still shows up as a non payment claim and they look at them also. They told me to wait and see what his will say. i have a year to make the claim. It wont be that long but i dont have to rush it.
