Yup, well said... You almost have to cross over into bling land to win anything at the shows... Don't forget the fake LV interior and the 12 monitors you need.
Dave's car is a perfect example of why we need VIP in full force at car shows. It's unfair to have to bling your car out to win.
Car looks great Dave..Keep up the great work man!
Congrats to 00lexondub for placing at HIN...

I'mm not easy to convince but I must say your ride is now OFFICIALLY:
"OFF THE MOTHER FREAKIN' HOOK!!!!"
CONGRATS.
IF I was judging, you definately would have taken home some bling!
I really really love the front bumper. Who's is that?
Great job on the spec sheets as well.

at shows they look for cars that have the most mods not the car that looks the cleanest,
the more OUTRAGES your car the points you get. they look for cars that make people stop and look, even if they stop to look at it because of the crap they put on or to admire it, as long as you can make people stop and look at your car you will win at shows, thats why people put all those stupid cotton ***** around the wheels and under neath it some car shows do have a J-SPEC,JDM,VIP catagory.

The bodyshop had some substantial fittment trials getting the sideskirts to go on and align (especially around the chrome strip). I still have one area I'm going to go back to them on for some more work on fittment.

Lol, nothing wrong with a good show setup though - 00lexondub had a cool setup with strobes, ropes and lighting around his GS. Was definitely not the cotton ball approach and it drew a lot of attention to the car. Just got to figure out how to do it right. Perhaps some razor wire around the car next time.
