Anyone have EZ Pass problems on there GS with NAV

What a coincidence. I never thought about this possibility.
I have been using my Smart Tag/EZ Pass on previously trips to NY/NJ with out any problems. I always drove my GS4 (without Nav).
But on 3 trips since end of Sept., I have been driving CLK55 (with Nav) to visit NY/NJ. Unfortunately, I just received 3 citations from NJ/NY authority (only from NY/NJ and not from other states) for passing through the toll without payment during my trip in October. I am also bracing for even more tickets to come at this time after double checking detailed Smart Tag statement for past 3 months.
I just can't see the correlation between Nav and Toll Tag. I suspect tag reader's performance but who knows, stranger things have happened before.
