Here she is... new-to-me 2001 GS430 in Midnight Pine Pearl. Sorry for the pics... kind of a cloudy day...

I have a feeling that this is going to be a long, beautiful relationship

Cheers!

Congrats! How come all the MPP's I see have those 16" wheels? What are your plans if any? You have to have some if you are going to be a part of CL! Hah. Besides, we need some modded Green GS's.

Thanks for all the comments... definitely gonna swap the wheels at some point for at least 17's... also want to get rid o fthe pinstripe... wasn't sure how easy/difficult that would be... should I take it to a paint shop or is that a DIY job? Also worried about paint fading beneath the pinstripe. Other than that no plans at the moment but I have a feeling that if I spend much time here that will change quickly \

Thanks again for all the great comments!

Cheers!

In most instances the pinstripe is merely a stick on decal although some were actually painted on. There should be no fading under the stripe, if anything the color would be darker as the paint behind the stripe has be shielded from UV of the sun. Don't stop with 17" at the very least go with 18" Most of the members here will try to tell you to go 19 or even 20. Depends on road conditions in your area and whether this will be a daily driver or what. tint is taken care of, so once you lose the pinstripe and get some rims the next thing you HAVE to do is lower it!! Congrats on the car, except for the permanent hole in your wallet, you're gonna love it.
