I am trying to figure out what grill to get. I have a black car, and I don't think like a l sportline black grill painted black with a black pearl logo would be the best way to go. I like the silver mesh of the c one. I was wondering if you painted the white part black and left the silver mesh on there and put a black pearl emblem on there would that look good? Let me know. Im not really a big fan of the c-one grille. I like the TRD grille better. But if you wanted to paint the mesh it is pretty easy. I just took some steel wool and scuffed the surface of the mesh up a bit. Then I sprayed on a couple of coats of adhesion promoter and then 2 coats of primer and then 3 coats of the paint, gunmetal in my case. Then on top of that I put 2 coats of clear but it didnt really make a difference. My car is silver and the grille was silver and the mesh was silver and it was just too much. The other important thing is to mask off all the parts of the grille that you dont want overspray to get on. I didnt remove the mesh from the grille so I had to mask off the grille. Its really easy if you just want to invest a little time in a DIY
But I wouldnt do silver, i would do something darker like charcoal that isnt quite black but isnt as light as silver. Just MHO
