Boosting with High Mileage GS
Ok before I drop the hammer on this IS tommorw I want to look at my options.
I have the option right now of picking up 1999 GS400 with 114,000 miles, and a RMM supercharger. The car has a clean report and the man who drove it i'm pretty sure didn't beat the hell out of it, its a one owner car and the man is at least 65 years old (I didn't ask his age out of respect)
I did a search but didn't come up with what I was looking for (or maybe I spelled mileage wrong)
So if I went the other route and got the GS4 and supercharger, would I have any problems boosting on a engine with that many miles?

Morris boosted his with far more miles on it. He hasn't had any engine problems, but he's definitely one to push the envelope on the RMM kit's capabilities (in fact he sold it and is doing turbo now). He is replacing his tranny.
Is the person you're buying the car from on CL? Can also search through any historical posts for issues.

Thanks for the quick reply Dave! Things have been so crazy i'm juggling all this info its really nice that I can count on CL and its awesome mods to help out.
The Black GS with 114k isn't on CL hes just this old dude I found the car out of the paper. The White GS with 78k i'm not sure if shes on CL or not, I don't think so I didn't ask. I'm meeting with her tommorw.
It's good to hear someone is pushing the envolpe without issues, i'm not trying to do anything crazy with the SC, just a 7 pound pully and exhaust/rims/some sort of fuel managemen/ect.. I'm trying to get a low 13 (like 13.2/13.1) quarter.
In the middle of writing this I got a call from the woman about the White GS so i'm going to go look at it now

EV ftw!!!
If the particular GS has it's service history documented and is verifiable (and all recommended maintenance has been done), 114K is nothing for the engine in this car.
This engine is good for over 300K easily - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=157572
There are several other members on here that have very high mileage GS400's.
