for those who upgraded their tail lights to 01+, what did you do with the inner light that are not as bright red compared to the newer tail lights?

cleaning them is good but it seems that the 98-00 inner lights are a different color.
has anyone sprayed their inner lights candy apple red to match or just buy brand new ones?

please let me know what you did to get them to match better.

the '98-'00 is the same as the '01+. try getting some plastic polish and buff it up

This has been brought out before. You can't really notice the difference, only if you look at it closely then you might see a difference. Some guys don't worry about it.

yeah it's been discussed a lot of times, a search would have come up with info

i still think they are the same, and on my car i dont' see difference. just buff out the inner taillights if you want

Yeah, it erks me too!!! I buffed mine out already but the 01's still look nicer and brighter. Maybe we need to buy new ones to match?

on my car there is a difference, the inner lights when lit up are brighter, i think cause they are older and the heat from the bulb causes the lens t fade a tad making the lights shine brighter than usual.... so i am gonna replace the inside lights soon.......

Calvin: try changing to new bulbs. After excessive use on the bulbs they do fade and are not as bright as new ones. By the way did you got the newer tails intalled on your car. Where you buy the plug for the reverse light?

I also didnt notice a difference on mine If it is really noticeable and you cant buff them out, you could order new inner tail lights. It wont be free but if it bothers you that much it would be worth it.

change the innner to clear ones or blacked out ones, like JP's GS....

mine's are very noticable, the inner ones look fading red, not as dark as the 01 tailights
