what's the replacement frequency on these, and anybody know part cost off the top of your head?
Thanks for the pics Johnny.
Should I assume this was done with the 60K service?

Update: Did replacement yestarday. 36$ belt from Advance Auto Parts. 5 minute install.

Thanks Johnny

how easy it is to do the drive belt ..now my PS pulley is diffrent than yours ...part of the RMM s/c kit

just to let you guys know

ok Tools :::::ratchet with 14mm socket or 9/16 if you dont have a metric socket handy

now you need to locate the belt tensioner pulley

now i suck at edit pics but here it is ...directly above the word belt tensioner is the belt tensioner

ok now that you have found it ....take the ratchet and place onto the bolt

now turn counter clockwise and the belt will loosen

here are 2 pics
first one to show tension on the belt

now the 2nd one shows what happens once you turn counterclockwise (CCW)

see the difference

now just take the belt off while keeping tension on the tensioner once it loose you can let go

ok now that the belt is off locate the drive belt diagram which is on the passenger side of the enginebay (left side if you are facing your car)
it looks like this but much clearer lol

now follow the diagram and wrap the belt around the pulleys over this one and under that
ok almost done
put the ratchet back on and once again turnCCW and the belt should go on if you ran the belt the right way

now pat yourself on the back that you saved yourself some money and learned to work on your car

any questions let me know

ihope i made this clear enough

1.place ratchet on belt tensioner pulley
2.turn CCW to loosen tension on belt
3.take off belt
4.place new belt on following the diagram ..found on the left side of the engine bay near P.S.
5.place ratchet back on turn CCW so you can fit the belt on all the way
6.start engine to make sure the belt is correctly
Is there any way we can get the pictures back for this?

I need to do mine (don't know why the dealer didn't do it along with the 90K service and timing belt?) because it is showing many little cracks.

Thanks In Advance

hey guys

acutally got to see a stock Gs400engine

you will need to remove the front piece to the air intake

and then you should be able to access the belt tensioner

if there is any local members who need this done ..ill do it so we can take pics
