what are you really looking to do ?

gas mileage is pretty close

go for the 400

but if you want to mod engine wise go for the 300

You aren't going to save too much gas with a GS3. Get a GS4 and enjoy the V8. Use the advanced search at autotrader.com for all areas to see what you can buy for your money. You may find a lower mileage car if you are willing to travel. Good luck with your search.

I found mine last year using Autotrader to find the dealer. Ebay's great for pictures and prices, but I would buy from a dealer.

Get a GS4. Decide on a price range, that will determine what year. Then choose your colors. Then find one with 20-50k miles. Then drive it. If it's solid at 120mph and brakes without vibration, buy it.

Then post pictures so we can all 'ooh' and 'ahh'.

Then start modding it.

Well, I just bought my 99 Gs 400 with 54,000 miles on it about 1.5 weeks ago.. I've been searching for a GS for long time and now finally got one... Coming from a mustang Gt i still wanted that V8 power but i would have gotton the gs 300 its just that i found the 400 first... You really can't go wrong with either one.. It all depends on what you want.. For me i wanted 300 HP on tap for whenever i needed it.. But its also about reliability to.. I almost bought another mustang but i was tired of all the plastic interior shakes, rattles, and you name it.. This is really a solid car.. Also the resale value is alot higher than other cars and besides this is a lexus.. you get luxury and performance in one...Mine is a everyday driver until i sell my es 300... Thanks tmf

to me, if you can pay the price and also the slightly extra insurance, then get the gs400

yeh, the GS300 felt (to me) like it had to kinda struggle to get going...

The GS400 is like you said... Effortless and well worth paying extra for.

And gas... The GS3 / GS4 get just about the same. Which i was very surprised by. But its true.

yup, the i6 on the gs3 and the v8 in the gs4 they have pretty much the same gas mileage, the gs3 is 18/24 and the gs4 is 18/23 i believe
