Default Troubles With My Radio Help Please!!!!!

What's good folks. I have a problem and the most specific detailed information you can give me will be appreciated. I'll make it brief the FM/AM display screen on my stock head unit doesnt show or barely shows at all sometimes. I have no clue what station I'm listening to. What do I do? Can i get that fixed? Or is the solution buying a new head unit? I really want to keep the system stock so I don't really want to buy another unit unless it's made by Lexus.

Same thing is happening on my radio too. A friend of mine says that it's the lighting going out, the radio still plays fine, just everything is messed up, I was just going to replace it with an aftermarket unit. Maybe if you are still under warrenty with Lexus take it in and get it replaced. I know a simalar situation happned in my IS and the CDs would get stuck in the CD player, car was still under warrenty and they replaced the unit for free

I guess that would be good if I was still under warranty. I'm really trying to shy away from the aftermarket but I guess if I have to maybe I will. I assumed it was the lights too but I didn't want to say that's what it was and it wasn't. So i guess we'll see what happens. If anyone fixed this problem without buying a new head unit your info would be appreciated

You can try finding one on ebay. Ive seen some guys that fix them but im sure it wont be cheaper then 100 plus shipping and your looking to pay about that on ebay so just keep an eye out you might get lucky soon. Oh ps almost the same thing happen with my radio but instead all the numbers and letters are messed up, everything works fine but the numbers show up all weird.

Probably just by a Head Unit like the one you have from a newer GS, only optiion I can think of if you do not want to go aftermarket

My stereo has the same problem. I've read you can buy the lcd part from Pioneer for around $100 and it takes about an hour to do the replacement. I had a link to the part number but I've lost it.

www.CarStereoHelp.com repairs this kind of thing. But it's pricey.
