I really want to change the radio in my GS but i don't want to mess up the wood trim, i have the wood trim that goes all over everything.

Well anyway i was talking to some higher up people that work in the wood dash industry and i really made some friends this is what i came up with:

Replacement dash piece for Pioneer Radio (#10 in the wood dash kit) with no holes $95 for just one...he told me if i can get enough people to buy it he will really lower the price a lot!!!

now at this point it becomes really easy you can buy or make brackets for the aftermarket radio line it up where you want it,..draw it out on the Pretty Burlwood and then cut out the hole for your radio then stick it to the brackets!!!

Is it literally the same wood-kit ?? Or a closest resemblence you can get? If its the same wood-kit, I am interested.

it's the same wood kit, it's the medium burlwood it's a factory match....(this is actually one of the company's that the Lexus Dealers get the wood dashes from...that's what i was told by their sales manager)

Just want to clarify...the picture i posted is not the actual one it is just a picture that i created to give you guys an idea of what it will look like!

SuperJoe, so you are saying we are buying one "sheet" of the wood with no holes or anything and we go to our own installer and have him custom make the holes to fit our aftermarket stereos?

Sounds good, have any idea how many people we need and how much lower it is if we get alot of people?

Sup bro... I just wanted to ask if you are SURE that you are hitting 150 dbs?? Mean Gene (a moderator of the Electronics forum) has the same setup as you have except that his is show quality and he has a 1100a2 amp. He only hits 140's!!

So I'm pretty sure that you aren't hitting 150's!! I don't wanna put you down or anything cuz your ride is TIGHT, I'm just saying if your installer told you that you are hitting 150 then we was lying cuz it's not feesible with that setup as is !! Sorry bro....

dude your telling me that 2 POWER HX2 DVC can't hit 150db running a thousand watts on a 1ohm load (i got the new 1000.1 monoblock)...your crazy and i'm not trying to put you down...oh and by the way i was the "installer" and trust me i'm not lying...i've been doing installs for 3 years and this is my second competitoin car (it's still not finished i have to change the headunit )

I know that the SUBS can hit 150db's but as far as I know you are only running (1) 800a2 amp. Which isn't the needed power to push 150db's. In actuality, if you have 2 POWER HX2's, then you aren't even giving the subs enough power!! You SHOULD have an 800a2 to EACH sub!!

Go to www.aceaudio.net and go to custom installs. You will see "Mean Gene's" GS400 and the system installed. He is running the EXACT same setup as you except he is running a 1100a2 amp to both HX2's!! He just barely hits 140's and he has the box tuned for best effiency!! Now if you are running more than 1 amp (2 800a2's) then I'm sure you are hitting the 150s!! But (1) 800a2 or (1) 1000a2 IS NOT going to give you 150's!!!!

I'm getting my system done sometime this month!! I can't wait.... What head unit you getting?? I"m going Apline IVA-C800 with PS2!!

ok ok your going by my picture i understand....the subs in that picture are actually HE's not the HX2's that was my old setup when i just wanted a little bit of bass.
I have redone my system over and i got the 2 hx2 and i received 2 POWER 1000.1 amps that's when i was hitting 150db i blew one of the amps and now i'm only running one of them..


The headunit i want is the Kenwood touch screen TV/DVD/MP3/Tuner/AM FM in a one din model
(The one on the market now doesn't have mp3)

and then all i have to do is buy the kenwood navi!!!
