Might want to part it.... Most people dont want a modded car anyways...

And arent willing to pay the extra amount for the mods.

I would put it back to original. Most people do not like buying modded cars, especially a modded Lexus and it will probrably de-value the car. Depends on what condition your car is in too. You can look at KBB but most people are not going to pay those prices especially on older cars. I would list it at 15,500 and try to get 12,500 if it is in very good shape and has been well maintained with records. If you did not perform the 90,000 mile service yet that is going to be a consideration in what people are going to pay and figure taking off another 1-2 thousand. Since it has been modified, is the first model year and has almost 100,000K miles with no NAV it may be a tough sell at a good price but it may also be exactly what someone is looking for. I would say you made out pretty well if you can get $13,000. Good luck.

I think he can get 15 to 17 for it. Might want to place an add here. It is a 400 not a 300.

I wouldn't worry about it not having nav. Hardly any 98's had it and If anyone is being hard on you about it just remind them that it's cd-rom and DVD wasn't until 2001, which is in a way bigger price range

I really don't think you'll have a problem selling that GS. I've been looking for a long time and have seen some 98's with 100k going for like 18-20 thousand down here in FL. In fact i almost bought one off of ebay a 98 with 113k, 20's,tv's and great condition. He wanted 18,000. But i found my 99 and I'm much happier with that.. Anyway....Its your choice to leave it modded or not..It only takes that one person who really loves the car and its sold... Besides 95k is nothin on a lexus...Good luck

that sounds about right. it might go for a little more if it's in perfect condition but you should be looking at around 15k.

Dsmart is right you may get 15 to 17 for it. Adding mods to your car does not appreciate the value of your car. You are better off bringing it back to original and selling the mods seperately.

There is a white 98 GS400 in our classified that is going for $14,000 or best offer with 90,000 miles and it has been listed for over 2 months. I was tempted to buy it but I decided to get a newer GS with less miles and I do not need a v-8 right now. In California you might get away with asking for more because cars generally sell higher there but in the Eastern U.S. especially East Coast 13-15K is going to be the norm. I don't know anyone who would pay 18-20 thousand for a 98 GS400 especially with over 100K miles but the market may be different in Florida. 95,000 miles may not be alot of miles for a Lexus but it is still alot for a used car.

THIS SAYS IT ALL. A used car is a used car; the fact that it's a Lexus should be a "plus", but 90,000 miles is a LOT of miles - that and the fact that the car is almost 8 years-old will lower the value as well as the price. Also, for modified cars, the seller needs to bear in mind that their mods will not significantly add to the value of the car; however, they may distinguish their car (for better or for worse) from other similar cars.
