Does anyone know what the most recent version of the Navigation system software should be. I talked to the dealer and they said that if I had a 2001 GS, then I had the most recent version. I would like to believe them but they couldn't tell me what the most current version number was, so how do they know if I have the most current??? . I looked at mine and it showed "2000 V1", seems like it should have been a 2001 version

If anyone knows please let me know. I want to make sure I don't get charged for an upgrade if there is a more current one available.

Also has anyone purchased a DVD software version upgrade? and if so how much did it cost?

for the older NAVs (harddrive based) it goes by the date, for example mine is Sept. of '99. Others have December of '00 or something.

For the new DVD navs, I think it goes like 2001 V1, V2, 2001 V1, etc. etc. I believe 2001 V1 is the newest one.
