Question

Hi,

I just purchased a new GS430 and am planning on doing the various performance upgrades. My question to the group is what did you do with your stock GS parts? Will body shops/junk yards buy them for cash? I did not want to keep them because they take up room and will never go back to stock. Thought it was a waste to just trash them.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

GSman,

You should see one of my auxilary storage depot at one of my warehouse. I got a set of springs+shocks, 2JZ-GE engine, tranny, wiring harness, stock Nakamichi system, 16 in wheels+tires, bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, a spare sequential turbo, exhaust system including midpiping, etc. It's a mess.

I put them in the storage room so one day when I'm gonna sell the car, I will put them back on and sell the aftermarket parts. So far, just one torque converter, 4 tires with stock rims and the suspension.

Talking Club Lexus Parts Division..

You know we could always form the Club Lexus Parts Division and give Lexus Parts a run for their money.. LOL.. Sheesh imagine all the collective stuff we all can put together.. V300 already has storage facilities to boot..

I still have stock springs/shocks, sways, and exhausts sitting here in boxes!! Figured I'd keep them in case the next owner (or the dealer if I traded it) wanted to revert to stock parts.

GSman,

What area do you live in? I am wondering if you are going to do Air Intake upgrade? If so are you interested in selling me this part of your stock intake?(picture below) I am not sure how much that one piece of plastic is worth...but if you want to sell it and live near by we can work out a price? I live in Rowland/Diamond Bar area.

Someone mentioned selling it on Ebay. Would people really buy "stocked" USED shocks + springs?? Figured people would buy aftermarket used shocks+springs but not stocked ones.

As cheaper replacement parts...assuming they're not that "used". Not everyone wants to do mods and stock parts do break.

And you'd be suprised. People will buy anything. Ever been to a garage sale and see the crap people will pay money for?
