Please don't tell me you got it chrome plated because that probably cost as much as getting an aftermarket grill.

Question

You buffed the OEM grill with something like fine steel wool or polishing rouge??

I saw one guy in Staten Island that had the same exact thing . Though I didn't get a chance to get close enough to see how he did that !

That sure does look sharp!

Too much chrome for my taste...personally, i'm looking for a way to black out the chrome trim that surrounds the windows and runs the length of the car...

Any ideas?

Well you can't paint your chrome because it will eventually chip and fall off...if you want an inexpensive and ingenious technique do like the ricers do!!!

VINYL...yup try black vinyl(as in vinyl sticker) they make shiny black and flat black and as long as you apply it to clean chrome it will stick...and longer than paint....you can get a roll from a sign making store and a really good exacto knife...very cheap and believe me it works!!

Looks like the chrome trim tape you get at any auto store. Looks a bit uneven at the bottom where it was cut but you did a good job around the "L"

Joe can you take a close up pic so we can see it in detail.. Just want to see how the chrome vinyl looks up close.. From a distance it looks sharp but like Spectra said a bit uneven on the bottom drivers side.. Kudos on the idea!!
