The lighting went out on the passenger side half of my 1998 gs400 radio display tonight. You can still see the display thanks to the lighting from the other side, but it looks pretty bad.
I read some posts about entirely changing the color of the backlighting, but mainly I'm just interested in replacing the light source that has gone out.
(1) has anyone replaced this light that could give a rundown of the process, parts and tools necessary?
or
(2) has anyone paid for this repair (or know someone who has), and if so, how much?
thanks

I sortof dig the stock muted lighting myself. Does anyone with the Lextech upgrades find them to be distractingly bright at night? Specifically the white?
