Download the 4.5 version as the 2000 requires a purchase
It is a very interesting program that many use, and have not seen any mention here on it. Basically it is a automotive simulator that factors in a variety of different aspects. Even has a drag racing mode so you can race a GS400 against any other car in it's database using mathmatical formulas. I wont even mention to race the gs400 against the 93 Z28 6 sp. in it. or against a M3 or 540i. One of the other uses is the ability to change different parameters such as gearing,hp, and even wheels, to see the impact on performance if any. Maybe not perfect but certainly fun to play with. Have fun with it.

i have seen cartest
and been using it since Aug99. I checked the db for the 6speed LT1 versus the GS4. As you implied, the LT1 is listed as 14.68 and the GS4 as 14.55.
I have a similar program that utilizes all of the same variables. Its called performance pro. Makes you wonder, why it would come up with 14.1@100 for the LT1 and 14.3 at 99 for the GS4. I checked other cars in the DB and it seems that only the LT1 fbodies are significantly slower than other examples. The Cobra and Viper are very close to other sims and actual data.
Even when the shift point for the Gs4 is changed to 6350 (like cartest uses for redline), the speed only gos to 14.3 at 100.

Wow, i agree
Well I would agree that the times for the some of the LT1's are slower then actual. As you stated the Viper and others were right on. The drag does not neccessarily pertian to real world events as I inputed in a SC300 auto against a Aurora and the Aurora won by a slim margin, yet in real world I got my *** handed to me by my friend Aurora. Still, he went out and bought a SC400 after I took him in mine. I was planning on picking up an early gen Viper till I visited the forums and learned more then I wanted. Still would of been a hell of a weekend warrior even if a C5 is a better car IMO.
