but they are all fine as long as they are oem kits, otherwise we would have heard tons od complains by now

the Mark 8's had a different type of HID technology. Bulbs were different and NOT replaceable as far as I know, they lasted the life of the car....changes are if you can find a last gen Mark 8 in mint condition or at least driveabel condition, it's HIDs are original and work 100%

They eventually go bad, and you have to replace them (They use to be $50 bucs, but are $160 each now, and price is rising). They are neither D2S, or D2R, I forgot what they were called, but I remember it was the only car you can get with HID's without a cutoff line. However, they were not interchangeable with any other system.
You can still find them in good condition, especially the 98's (last year they were made) around here in Florida. As far as features, it had MUCH more features then my LS, but the LS was more refined, better ride, and a smoother engine.

Nothing happens, the drls are gone!!!!!! btw, the color temp is 14k. horrible lumens. so dim, but sooo purple. The pictures were taken at my best camera quality on my new $750 audiovox ppc6600kit phone!!! it was dark, give my poor camera a breaK! LOL.
