Default Gs300 Or Gs400? And..., other questions...

Hi all, I'm trying to decide between the LS and the GS. Of the GSs which should I consider - the 400 or the 300? What are the differences? Does anyone know of a link or site that compares the two? Are there any links that talk about the differences between years such as the differences between the 1998 GS400 and the 1996 GS 400? My searches have been unproductive. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

welcome to clubleuxs. i am sure johnny will chime in with the famous post

anyway, there is no 1996 gs400.... gs400 started in 1998.

if you have the money and willing to pay the slightly extra insurance for the v8, get the gs400. everything else on the cars are pretty much all the same

Get the GS400 or GS430 and enjoy the power of 300 HP V8. There are more aftermarket parts for the GS than LS. You can find more information about the GS/LS at Lexus.com:

Default Wow!!

Wow!! Thanks for all the info T.L.W. and everybody else! Apparently I'll have to work on my search skills.

I'll get the GS400. What should I expect to pay for a well maintained 1998 - 1999 GS400 with 50 - 70 K miles? What would be a really good but reasonable deal?

Thanks again!

Well it also depends on options (nav. nav)... But id say anywhere from 17-20 is a good price for a CLEAN one.

I'd prefer black or a darker color. Not white.
