Thumbs up Nice Job Joe!!!

Yesteday I did my grill with the chrome door trim that I found @ Autozone. I have to redo a couple of pieces because I didnt cut them properly. It looks sweet.

Yesterday while I was drive around, people was staring at the car even more than usual. Reminded me of when I was one of the few people with a GS

Did you glue yours on? Or did you just use the self-adhesive?

xsuperjoex, i owe you alot man. i've been thinking about an after market grill for quiet some time now. i liked the l-tuned and the rmm grill, but i read here that the fit is not perfect. besides, the design (the line that goes accross the grill) is similar to the new acura's and hondas. then i saw your post yesterday in the morning. i left work early and went to my local auto parts store, bought 3 packs of the chrome door guards. went home and did it in about an hour.
it looks more than just awsome. incredible. i just love it. and it cost me less than $12. i got the thumbs up from all my friends who thought it was an aftermarket grill that goes for hundreds of dollars. one of them even asked me if he could get my old stock grill, that's when i had to tell him what i did.
thanks again man. what a great mod.

Best...no i didn't use glue i just used the self-adhesive...i've found that the roll (about 20feet) is thinner than the individual packs of trim and it works better with the grill.

Guys it was just a dream when i thought this up i really didn't think it was going to look this good!!!

Show it off, tell everyone it cost you hundreds of dollars...then tell them the truth and watch their reaction it's awesome...they'll think your the smartest guy on 4 wheels.

Glad to hear you guys are enjoying it...but do me a favor post up some pics i would like to see what it looks like on different color cars!! (OH..and don't forget to tell them where you saw it first!)

xsuperjoex & zz231,

Whats up guys

I was also thinking about buying an aftermarket grill(RMM,L-Sportline) but after I saw your post I decided to give it a try so I went to pepboys and bought a 25' roll of the chrome door trim. Was finished in about an 1/2 hour. I must say that the front of the car looks so much better
It was very simple to do

Here is a pic of my car with the "New" look grill:

you really have to see it in person...(pictures just don't do justice)

It looks a lot better when you're lookin at it in your rearview mirror or when your standing far away from it. I love it!!!

i agree joe. if stand right there infront of it you can tell how it was done. but stand a little far from it and it looks incredable. especially during the day when the sun hits it. i don't really care if it looks like the i30, few cars out there have chrome grills and now mine is one of them.
