DVD/NAV converter
Hey,
Wondering if anyone has purchased and installed the DVD/NAV converter system. Thinking about purchasing one and hope that installation is nto that difficult. The company claims that it is really easy. Hopeing someone has and can confirm that. Also, I asked them if their DIn dvd player can also play burned dvd-rs. Have anyopne tried it on this system? Thanks

Yup.. I have their Nav switcher and so far it has worked great. The installation wasn't all that hard you just have to know what wires to tap into and solder them together to get a solid connection.
I don't know know about their dvd player but mostly all mobile dvd players can play recorded dvds.

hey i was also thinking of purchasing this part... but minus the DVD player since I'm going to have a full system put in, so I'd just need the screen converter... (not meaning to take over your thread)

The instructiond are okay, the main part is splicing the RGB and sync wires together from your Nav ECU. The rest is just easy as feeding it 12V ACC and ground, and connecting your rca type cables. I just put the unit on top of the Nav ECU for the meantime.
The nice thing of the unit is that if you have 3 more monitors on your car and you have 3 video sources like dvd, ps2, or rear camera, each monitor can be viewing different things.

Has anyone done it to there 98 or 99 navi? The resolution doesnt seem taht good, but im hoping that its only bc of the navigation system input and the screen itself can handle the dvd player.?
