matter of fact HIN is coming to Atlanta soon May 28th I believe.
you get the most pts from bodywork to include paint.... you have custom paint and you went beyond to do graphix and originality so you'd get a pretty high score on the paint itself.
cleanliness is a BIG thing!!! I dont care if you have the nicest car out there... if you dont have the love to even wipe up some grease spots then you dont deserve to win.
Engine bay has alot of room for points... all the engine work you do while keeping the engine technically stock will get you at most 7 pts in my book. Boost will get you into the low teens usually around 11..... engine swap w/ boost and all the goodies can get you upwards of 20 max. Most common engine bay pts are usually around 5-12 pts.
then interior work.... ICE etc etc.... .how rare your wheels are, rare bodykits also get up'd pts! molding is always good etc etc.... most important thing is to just pay attention to lil details. minor defects in paint, body lines, panel spacing etc etc... I've seen some real decked out ICE work but at closer inspection walked away feeling it was total crap!
u should be able to tell by checking it out yourself.... make sure your wheel wells are clean and rims are sparkling inside and out. bla bla blaetc etc.... make sure the judges can see the parts that you have that aren't very visible.... mirrors are a good way to accent suspension parts!
i say show it! .....either way, its a great environment and pretty fun if you can avoid the dumb crowds. and the girls!!! nuff said!
