you know they did. but it supposedly had only 41 miles when recovered. what if you could get it for $20k? that is half of dealer retail. nobody would know it has a blemished title but the buyer.

honestly, I don't even know if I would buy it for $20k-but there is also that chance that it's a near perfect 2003 GS430 with under 4000 miles.

Yup, even if it was $20k.... I couldnt do it. Having to drive it around every day knowing some idiiot beat your car to hell...

Ill pass.

And w/ a salvage title... That resale is just horrible. And also hard to sell.

yah....hard to get around carfax report that the car was salvaged.

I heard someone in the military shipped a salvaged car to Texas...and registered it there....they said the registration does not indicate its a salvaged vehicle. Can any TX peeps confirm this?

Looks like he's looking to get $32,500:

Nice detective work. We'll have to keep an eye on this one.

Thanks. I don't think he'll get it, or anywhere close to it. Low miles are great, but one of the main reasons to buy a car with low miles is to take advantage of the fact that the car is still under warranty, which doesn't apply here.

Yes there is. Takes some time, needs a busness (co. llc, or corp) to register the the car too. When the car gets registered as a corporate vehicle, gets you a brand new title. Pretty easy to do in NY.

Nah, i know this car will be bought for a disscount, but not too cheap. Someone who knows the ropes with the title problem will get this car, and sell it within a year for way more.

I doubt it. there will always be a record somewhere that this car has a salvage title. even carfax, etc..

If you got the space, I can see someone buying it cheap and then taking their time selling it for parts. Otherwise, someone's taking a big chance. Even if the car runs good, resale value will bite you in the butt 2 or 3 years later.
